In fall 2005, the first Ginkgo New York fine jewelry store opened in New York City. It offered an eclectic selection of fine jewelry designs, with a large array of pearls and semi precious gemstones set in gold. The luxury brand Andy Götz fine jewelry was launched exclusively for Ginkgo New York and quickly gained the attention of celebrities, musicians and socialites such as Mya, Mena Suvari, Fantasia, and Lydia Hearst along with numerous fashion and trade magazines. Through the past five years and counting, we have become a favorite among the affluent Midtown East neighborhood where we call home.
In the spring of 2009, we decided to expand our brand of eclectic fine jewelry to the Caribbean and open our first sister store in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic. The new store, Ginkgo Caribe, offers a selection of international designs that are not always readily available in the small seaside town. It has since become a favorite among tourists and locals alike.
